Why use WFS?
WFS are the expert woodburner supplier and install specialist covering the whole of Devon. Based on the edge of Dartmoor we are ideally situated for rural locations throughout Devon as well as excellent road links to more suburban areas such as Newton Abbot, Totnes, Paignton and Torquay. We are different to many woodburner suppliers in that we are not looking to just sell you a woodburner and then leave everything else to others. We like to take total ownership of the installation. We will take you through the entire process of purchasing a woodburner from start to finish. At WFS we believe in total customer service and will take care of you every step of the way. Initially we recommend a site survey to discuss your requirements and installation. We will also go through the various install and hardware options and find you a woodburner solution unique to you. We have a showroom available with a wide selection of woodburner's in stock for you to browse and select from. Once the woodburner and other hardware is delivered our fully qualified Hetas engineers will ensure everything is installed to the latest standards and provide all the appropriate testing and certification. Safety and quality of workmanship is paramount in everything that we do. Once fully installed we are happy to look after your annual service requirement to ensure your woodburner operates at peak performance.
What is the cost to install a woodburner?
With energy costs rising more and more people are considering alternative sources of energy. A woodburner is a stylish, sustainable, alternative energy. In terms of cost each woodburner is unique to your house and there is no fixed price. Depending upon options selected and the complexity of the install a woodburner can be fully installed by a certified engineer for as little as £1,500. A small woodburner with limited options starts at about £500 for the hardware with top of the range large burners costing in excess of £5,000. On top of this there is the install cost and any additional flue, liners and other materials. However according to research by the Stove Industry Alliance the cost to heat a home using a woodburner between October and April is approximately £420. This is about a 40% saving based on current gas prices and a massive 200% saving on electric systems. This is based on the current caps put in place by the government and if these were removed the savings of using a woodburner would be far greater. There are many reasons to invest in a woodburner and costs is just one.
